Approximately in the decade of the 50's, in Oaxaca, the master Manuel Jimenez (1919-2005) began to make wood sculptures, he never imagined that this would change the history of a town at an international level.
In San Antonio Arrazola wood sculpture has become the main source of income for the population.
Each artist has his own style that characterizes him, not only in the style of sculpture, but also in the style of painting.
In ALEBRIJES MANDARIN we carve wood with a style full of customs, traditions and rural legends that we capture in each piece.
We are also happy to work with custom orders and involve the imagination of our customers.
With more than 50 years of experience, we express in each sculpture the technique that we have gradually designed to offer a unique and special piece.
If at any time we have the opportunity to bring our work to your doorstep, it would be an honor to show the cultural richness that we have maintained for decades.
Thank you for reading this fragment of the history of wood carvings in San Antonio Arrazola, Oaxaca Mexico.
Best regards
Saulo Mandarin Ramirez
